I am so glad I found and bought the Step Doctor. Last year I started a hardwood flooring business and also started working on stairs. My first few stair jobs had me second guessing the decision to take on replacing treads and risers. There was so much measuring and recutting of each tread and riser and was getting to the point that it was not cost effective and I would just break even after paying my helper for what I was charging my customers. The Step Doctor did what you said it would do, save time and money. I cut my installation time almost in half by using the Step Doctor and now I am proffitable. I can now say I enjoy working on stairs. The good thing about your tool is that anyone can use it. The best tool I have ever bought. Thank you, Dave

THANK YOU!!!

Before I purchased the Step Doctor, I was leery of something that I had never seen in stores or saw anyone else using a from a contractor standpoint. And I have to insert here that I am not a carpenter by trade, I am an Mechanical Engineer and I have never re-buit a stair case in my life. BUT, I have to tell you this was the BEST fixturing device I have ever seen. I just completed my first 5 steps using the Step Doctor out of Red Oak and they fit PERFECTLY, the first time. I didn't have to do any second trimming, sanding or re-fitting. I used the Step Doctor as described in the documentation and cut each tread to length using a sliding chop saw, and I can't believe what I see. They are perfect, and I mean there will be no filler added to the ends of the steps taking up bad cut void areas.

Once again George, I don't know how to thank you for inventing this device, but without it, I would still be fitting the first step.

Thank you so very much,

This past Saturday I put the Step Doctor to a real test. I am not a carpenter. I cut 18 treads and 19 risers that actually looked like I had Finish Carpenter skills. Basically no errors causing waisted treads or risers. Many hours were saved by not having to re-measure. If you are not a pro but want your work to look like it was done by a skilled finish carpenter, get one!

Received the StepDoctor. Son immediately opened the package, measured, cut and installed a riser and a tread. We're extremely pleased with the accuracy and ease of use. Thanks for marketing a great idea!

George, It dawned on me that you can also use the Step Doctor to set your saw miter angle, simply by placing the SD on the saw bed and rotating the bed until the blade is flush with the edge of the SD. I'm certain you had thought of this, but I was excited to think of it. That takes the eyeballing out of setting the proper miter angle. Thanks again. John
